FrictionGuard ceramic brake pads combine strong braking performance with the refinement expected from today’s vehicles.

With a friction coefficient above 0.4, compared with a typical industry range of approximately 0.30–0.35, the formulation is engineered to provide responsive braking while maintaining stable performance as temperatures increase.

FrictionGuard brake pads are manufactured to OE specifications, including pad dimensions, friction material thickness, chamfers, slots and shim configuration.

An underlayer between the friction material and backing plate provides additional strength and helps protect against delamination under the heat and loads generated during braking.

The result is a brake pad designed to fit correctly, operate consistently and provide long service life.

FrictionGuard brake pads are tested against recognised international standards for braking performance, noise, wear and durability.

Applicable products are approved to ECE R90/E-Mark requirements, with additional NSF and AMECA certification across the range.

Noise performance is also evaluated using SAE J2521, one of the automotive industry’s recognised procedures for assessing brake noise.
